Design Lead

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

You will inspire and direct our collaborative efforts with your creative and emotionally engaging contributions, design innovations, prototyping, visualization, and planning of design deliverables. Your communication skills must be top-notch, and you must be able to work effectively with all levels of our team as well as with our client counterparts. Building consensus around design languages with team members 

Mentoring less experienced designers while being open and responsive to design management

2D sketching and graphics, 3D CAD and rendering, ergonomic mock-ups, and form studies

Scheduling/budgeting and project management 


The Ideal Candidate Will Also Meet or Exceed the Following Criteria:


Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering

Experience in physical product design

Demonstrated experience leading design teams & clients through challenging projects 


Deep experience in the manufacturing process of product design 

Working knowledge of CNC prototyping


Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:

Preferred software knowledge includes: SolidWorks, Creo Elements/ Direct, Keyshot, Creo Parametric, Alias, Rhino, SURFCAM

Demonstrate a portfolio of successful, launched products 

Strong sketching, 3D modeling, and problem solving skills 

High level of motivation and drive

Excellent team collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
